Purdue University® - Ross-Ade Stadium™
This panorama captures some of the atmosphere as Purdue battles Big Ten Conference rival Michigan® at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Indiana. Reverberation of "Hail Purdue!" carried throughout the stadium and beyond as the Boilermakers® clashed with the Wolverines during Purdue's Homecoming game. The nickname Boilermakers dates to 1891, when a newspaper reporter called the team "the Burly Boiler Makers from Purdue" after its 44-0 victory over Wabash. Today, Purdue proudly uses its unique moniker in emphasizing the school's leadership in engineering, science, math, technology, agriculture and research as one of the top-ranked universities in the world.
